SCHAAF, Nathanael Alexander - Age 38, of Burton, passed away suddenly on Friday, January 17, 2020. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, January 24, 2020 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc Township. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 4-8 PM and Friday from 12 PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to his family.
Nate was born September 11, 1981 in Houston, TX, the son of John and Ann (Stephens) Schaaf. He was a 2000 graduate of Powers Catholic High School. He married his high School Sweetheart Jenelle Morway on July 31, 2004 in Flushing. Nate worked in the tire industry for 20+ years. He worked for big corporations such as Tire Wholesalers and Discount Tire, before striking out on his own. He was the owner of Affordable Wheels and Tires in Burton. As a small business owner Nate lent a helping hand in the community wherever he could. Nate enjoyed fast cars, dirt bikes, sports, and rap music...but above all of that he loved spending time with his family. In his free time Nate could be found cheering his kids on from the sidelines, or coaching. He also loved taking long camping trips in the summer and traveling to Florida in the winter and laying on a sandy beach with his family.
Nate is survived by his loving wife, Jenelle; his three beautiful children, Addyson, Carson, and Brody; sisters, Amy (Michael) Hemingway and Emily (Johnathan) Yettaw; father, John (Paula) Schaaf; grandparents, Charles and Constance Schaaf;great grandmother, Betty Forrest; nieces and nephews, Michael, Gracie, Gloria, Makenzie, Molly, Olivia, and Charles; mother-in-law, Tammy Morway; brother-in-law, Austin Trepanier; sister-in-law, Alisha (A.J.) Carmona; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
