GARZA, Alfredo "Fredo" Age 84, of Mundy Township, died Monday, April 6, 2020. Cremation has taken place and no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Alfredo was born February 14, 1936 in Austin, TX, the son of Augustine and Genevieve (Ancira) Garza. He was a graduate of Kettering University (GMI). He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Nora S. Perez July 6, 1963 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Flint. Alfredo retired from GM as a Die Maker after 42 years of service; he then went to work for Blue Lakes Charter and Tours as a bus driver for 12 years. He enjoyed running and was a member of Great Lakes Road Runners. He also enjoyed playing softball.
Surviving are: his wife, Nora; sons, Richard of Flint, Paul of Flint Township, and Daniel (Scottie) of Gaylord; 2 grandchildren, Alexander of Grand Blanc and Aleqsiana of Gaylord. In honorary mention of "Anthony Grainger" of Grand Blanc, who joined our family at the young age of 2 years old and has been loved ever since.
