TOMASIK, Carrie R. – Of Flint, age 95, died Saturday, July 4, 2015 at her residence.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, G-3139 Hogarth Avenue, Flint, Reverend Monsignor Richard J. Groshek officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation 3-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Tomasik will be at the church from 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of the Mass.
Carrie was born in Hamtramck, Michigan on June 25, 1920, the daughter of Carl and Agnes (Krwaczyk) Kielts.
She married Thomas Tomasik in November 27, 1937 and he preceded her in death in 1987.
She was a member of Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority. She volunteered at St. Joseph and Genesys Regional Medical Center for over 30 years.
Surviving are son, Ron (Pat) Tomasik;
two grandchildren, Stephen (Christine) and
Stacie (Jason) Howard;
four great-grandchildren, Kaiya, Benjamin, Annie and Alexis;
sister-in-law, Anne Kielts;
several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; brother, Theodore Kielts and sister, Eleanor Zimmerman.
