Clifford Lloyd Ross, 88 of Interlachen, FL. passed on July 20, 2015 at the Palatka Health Care Center.
He was born March 8, 1927 to Floyd & Bernice (Horn) Ross in Flint, MI. Cliff attended Central High School & served in the Army before meeting his wife to be while driving an ambulance. Verle was in nurses training at Hurley Hospital. They were married on March 13, 1946. They started their family in Midland, MI & spent a couple of years in Houston, TX before moving back to mid Michigan.
After their 6 children were grown they retired & moved to Interlachen, FL in 1980.
Clifford was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Verle, his parents , 2 brothers Ralph & Lester & 1 of his grandsons, Kevin "Bruno" Ross.
He leaves his daughter, Dorothy Ramey (Paul) of Flint & his 5 sons. Clifford M. Ross & Ken Ross of Interlachen, FL, Floyd (Lori) Ross of Pagosa Springs, CO, Davis (Lynn) Ross of Titusville, FL & Dan (Cindy) Ross of Warren, MI. 4 grandchildren, Ken Jr., Steffanie, Jim & Paul. His special older sister Audrey Caverly of Flint, MI. will also be joined by additional family in cherishing his time with us all.
There will be a Celebration Service to honor his memory on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at 3 pm. Officiating the service will be Pastor Ron Nuckles at the Calvert Pk. Comm. Ch. of God, 2341 N. Genesee Rd. - Burton, MI 48509. (810) 743-7777. |
