GLIDE, Dale W. – of Davison, age 71, passed away March 2, 2015 at MediLodge of Grand Blanc. A Funeral Liturgy, followed by Military Honors will be held 11 AM Friday, March 6, 2015 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Fr. Carl Simon officiating. Burial will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-3 & 5-8 PM Thursday and 10-11 AM Friday. A Scripture Service will be held at 6 PM Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. John’s Christmas Fund.
Dale was born in Detroit, MI, son of the late Winton and Gertrude (Mnich) Glide. He was a longtime Davison resident. Dale was a Paratrooper with the 101st infantry in the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. John’s and the UAW. Dale volunteered at Davison Fire Department for many years. He retired from SPO/GM in 1997 after many years of service.
Dale is survived by his fiancé, Krystyna Kobel; children, Kim Glide and Keith (Tami) Glide; grandson, James Glide.
