Edith passed away January 1, 2017 at Oliver Woods Retirement Village in Owosso. Age 99 years. She was born January 19, 1917 in St. Charles to Louis and Desire Gillion. Edith graduated from Saginaw High, class of 1934. She married John F. “Jack” Wilsterman on March 9, 1940. He preceded her on December 30, 2001. Edith was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Flint. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking.
Surviving are nieces, Janice, and Odile and their families. Besides her husband, she was preceded by her parents; brothers, Arthur and Lawrence Gillion; sister, Odile Snyder; nephew, Robert Gillion; nieces, Carol Palmer, Barbara Lighthill and Joan Koapman.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Oakwood Memorial Mausoleum in Saginaw. The family will receive visitors at the Kendall Funeral Home, St. Charles on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the mausoleum on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorials may be made to Oliver Woods Retirement Village or Heart-to-Heart Hospice.
