Haley, Elbert Dee– of Clio, age 80, passed away Monday, March 3, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. Elbert "El" was born June 3, 1933 in Lawrence County, MO to the late Elbert Roosevelt and Bessie Phydella (Carpenter) Haley. He was the youngest of 6 children. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 1 pm at Montrose Family Worship Center. 9453 Vienna Rd, Montrose, MI 48457. Rev. Robert Leming officiating. Burial in Thetford Township Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-9 pm at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Friday 1-9 pm at Montrose Family Worship Center, Saturday from 10 am until time of the service at 1 pm.

Morris, MI. 27 grandchildren; Jason, Melissa, Kristena, Angie, Randy, Nina, David, Misty, Krystal, Jill, Bunny, Mike Jr., Stephanie, Matthew, Monique, Brandon, Rachel, Sabrina, Beth, Tony Jr., Mark, Sara, Scott, Kristen, Jackie, Kasondra, Joshua. 49 great grandchildren; great great grandson; current wife, Wanda (Clevanger) Haley; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Elbert retired from Oak distributor, formerly Auto-City distributors in 1997 after a 5-way by-pass. He was an avid bowler in which he earned 2-299 game rings and 1-300 game ring. Elbert loved golfing, traveling and spending time with his family.

El was preceded in death by: his best friend, Soul Mate and beautiful wife of 44 years, Arlene Estelle Haley; daughter, Katherine Haley-Smith-Beatty; great-grandson, Dillion Reece Jones; parents; brothers, Don (Dorothy) Haley, James (Frankie) Haley; sisters, Edna (Emmitt) Eutsler, Odean (Amos) Rae, Mary Shoemaker; brother-in-laws, John, Walter, Lyle (Doris) Thomason; sister-in-law, Suzanna Bryant; stepson, David Clevanger.
