O'Hearn, Francis F. – of Montrose, age 88, died Sunday, February 19, 2017, at McLaren of Flint. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, February 24, 2017, at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Rev. Fr. Ken Coughlin officiating. Burial to follow in Montrose Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 10 AM until the time of the service at 12 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Saints Charles and Helena Catholic Church or the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.
Francis was born April 12, 1928, in Flint, Michigan to the late William and Gertrude (Uber) O'Hearn. He married Doris King on October 16, 1948. She preceded him in death on October 21, 2006. Francis was retired from Chevrolet Metal Fab with 30 years of service. He was also a member of UAW Local 659. He was a member of Saints Charles and Helena Catholic Church in Clio where he also served as an usher. Francis enjoyed traveling and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan.
Surviving are: 3 children: Charles O'Hearn of Lake Worth, FL., Rosalie (Bob) Wiederman of Flint, and Marion Shreve of Mt. Morris; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; 5 sisters: Betty (Devaun) Eickhoff, Nellie Potts, Leona Good, Beverly (Vaughn) Jones, and Evelyn Giles; Francis was also preceded in death by his daughter, Shirley Bayless; sister, Rosie O'Hearn, and brothers: Oris McNeil, Jr., and Leo O'Hearn.
