DUTCHER, Doris Lucille - Of Flint, at age 90, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial service held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church, 746 South Saginaw Street, Flint, Pastor Paul Ytterock officiating.
Visitation 12 p.m. Wednesday at the church until the time of the service.
Doris was born on August 6, 1924 to Raymond and Lucille Holt.
She graduated from Flint Central High School in 1932.
Doris was a veteran of the United States Navy during World War II and was Honorably Discharged.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Flint.
Doris worked at AC Sparkplug for 23 years, and after retiring she worked as a volunteer for the Hurley Medical Center Auxiliary for 16 years. She received the Red Apple Award from Hurley for employee recognition with excellent service and dedication.
Preceding her in death were her sister Margaret Burch (Duane), brother Raymond (Bud) Holt (Ialeen).
Doris enjoyed spending her time with family and was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Surviving are her sons, Larry Dutcher, Glenn Dutcher of Tampa, Florida, Phillip (Suzanne) Dutcher of Naples, Florida, and David Dutcher of Savannah, Georgia. Grandchildren, Morgan (Jason) Reeves, Kelley Dutcher, Connor Snodgrass, Brent, Lindsay, Lauren, Taylor and Jordan Dutcher, Great grandchildren, Fletcher and Hudson. Several nieces and nephews Marsha Nail, Bud Burch, Michael Holt and Gretchen.
And a special thank you to nephew Ronald and his wife Wendy Burch for their kindness.
She is loved and will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to First Presbyterian Church or Hurley Medical Center.
