Elaine was born in Flint, MI, On October 2, 1948, the daughter of the late Rocky and Marie (Langlotz) Polzin.
Elaine was a beacon of God, and His light shone through her and touched the lives of countless family, friends, coworkers, and students during her 71 years with us. She was a leader and educator at St. John Catholic Church for over 22 years, and loved working with the children. She was always an active member of the faith community, giving freely of her heart, and her time, talent, and treasures to the very end. There can be no doubt that she is now with Christ, made new and whole again. She was inspired by F.R.O.G. - Fully Rely On God - and that is how she lived her life.

Multi-talented artistically in many crafts, Elaine will indelibly be remembered by many for the sticker-embellished cards she sent for every occasion; but her most memorable skill was her exquisite, meticulous penmanship. Her cards and writings were a labor of love.

Many people loved on, assisted, supported, and cared for Elaine throughout her life, and the family gives them their deepest and warmest gratitude.

Elaine is survived by her son Jeff (Sandy) Davis; daughter, Jennifer (Phil) Menzies; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Max, Skylar, and Kelly; brother, Rocky (Donna) Polzin; sister, Diane (Tom) Chronowski; several dearly loved nieces, nephews, cousins; and countless close friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Johanna Brawner and brother, Billy Polzin.
