MATTHEWS, Sandy. – age 67, of Flushing, MI, passed away Monday, December 10, 2018 at Medilodge of Montrose. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, December 14, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423. Burial immediately following the Funeral at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be 5–8 PM Thursday, December 13, 2018. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Sandy was born in Flint, MI on December 19, 1950, daughter of the late Dallas and Thelma (Trombley) Breakiron. She married Kent Matthews on August 10, 1974 in Flint. Sandy was devoted to her family and grandchildren, caring for her husband and every one she knew. She loved making candy and cakes.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Kent; son, Alan (Annette) Matthews; daughter, Keri (Jerry) Burns; grandchildren, Sloan, Declan, Liam, Zoe; six sisters and one brother; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
