CLARK, Ruth Caroline – of Flint, age 76, passed away October 5, 2014 at Genesys Health Park. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, October 9, 2014 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 5073 Daly Blvd., Flint, Pastor Gary L. Beck officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 AM- 2 PM and 4-8 PM Wednesday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church.
Ruth was born in Frankenmuth, MI on July 27, 1938, daughter of the late Edmund and Hedwig (Frank) Zehnder. She married William Schotter on August 20, 1970 and he preceded her in death on October 31, 1974. She then married Gerald Clark on October 7, 1991 and he preceded her in death on February 1, 2009. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and served the Lord in many ways at the church and school. Ruth was involved with the ladies guild, choir and bible studies. She was an avid traveler and enjoyed quilting. Ruth worked at Zehnders in Frankenmuth for 23 years and was a janitor at St. Mark Lutheran Church and School for 10 years.
Ruth is survived by her daughters, Julie (Gary) Kordyzon, Sherrie (Jim) Teeple; step-sons, Patrick Schotter, Carl Schotter; grandchildren, Anna and Avery Kordyzon, Jacob and Micali Teeple.
