SUSKI, Joann (Atwell) - Of Flushing, age 84, went to be with her husband, Andrew Suski, on Saturday, May 4, 2013.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton.
Father Gary L. McInnis officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Visitation 6-8pm Monday and 11am-8pm Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Monday evening at the funeral home.
Joann was born in Flint on May 2, 1929. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joann was a member of Local #651, retiring from A.C. Spark Plug in 1977. She loved to play Bingo and her trips to the casino.
Surviving are children, Judy and Jim Ballinger of Traverse City, Andrew and Karen Suski, Edward and Kathy Suski, James Suski all of Flushing and Lisa and Gary Adams of Linden;
grandchildren, Bill Bowles of Tampa, FL, Stacie Van Kampen of Holland, MI, Christy Lord of Flushing, Andy Suski of Flushing and Matthew and Lindsey Polk of Flint, Michael and Biyonka Polk of Flint, Emily and Ryan Suski of Flushing and Tucson, AZ, Drew and Sean Suski of Flushing and Dana Gagne of Flushing;
great-grandchildren, Austin, Alex and Hanna Van Kampen, William and Jordan Bowles, Quincy, Maysa, Brooklyn and Chandler Davis, Benjamin Gagne, Ethan Erickson Suski, Mason Lilly, Ethan, Owen Mayla, Michael and Brynn Polk;
dear friend, Bonnie Mason and loving caregiver Kasey Brown;
many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Joann was preceded in death by her parents, Ray Atwell and Gladys Main, sisters, Mary Jane Wereley, Charlotte Brill and Barbara Deckard, brothers, Dallas (Bill) Atwell, Duane Davis and Gordon (Jake) Atwell.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the wonderful nurses at Genesys Hospital for the loving care of their mother.
