Robert Jay Pattinson, age 82, of Burton, formerly of Lennon, passed away Sunday, October 2nd, 2011 at Lakeview Lutheran Manor in Cadillac, Michigan. Honoring Bob's wishes, there will be no service. Cremation has taken place.
Robert was born in Flint, Michigan on August 27, 1929, the son of the late Robert William and Maude Hazel (Campbell) Pattinson. Shortly after high school, Robert enlisted in the United States Navy, serving during the Korean War. He married Anna Mae McBean on May 28, 1955 in Angola, Indiana. Anna preceded him in death on February 21, 2005. Bob was a truck driver. He drove for Genesee Cement Products in Flint for 22 years. He also drove for Winterseal Glass Company in Holly for 12 years. Bob was voted Bendell High School Athletic Booster of the Year 1975 - 1976 for his efforts in the reconstruction of the baseball field.
Those who survive him include: sons, Robert W. Pattinson of Grand Blanc, Roger D. and wife Nicole Pattinson of Burton, David A. Pattinson of Burton, Duane L. Pattinson of Ionia; step-sons, Larry P. and wife Teresa Loveland of Grand Blanc and Collie L. Loveland of Grand Blanc; 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Anna Mae.
