Robert “Jim” Brown, age 75, of Lapeer, died Tuesday, October 14, 2014. Jim was born October 15, 1938 to Robert and Edith (Bottoms) Brown. He graduated in 1957 from Lapeer High School, and married Patricia Lang on October 10, 1958. Jim was an engineer at General Motors for over 40 years, retiring in 1999. Jim and Pat enjoyed wintering in Arizona. Farming Windy Pines Farm was his passion.
Jim is survived by his wife: Pat Brown; children: Steve (Lisa) Brown, Mike (Kathy) Brown and Jennifer Brown; grandchildren: Jeremiah, Zac, Alex, Molly, Max, Bri, Ally and Cate; great-grandchildren: Ella and Silas; brother: Don (Betty) Brown; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents Robert and Edith Brown.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Leader Dogs for the Blind, or the charity of your choice.
Visitation for Jim will be 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Thursday, October 16, 2014, at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer.
