BOUFFLER, Laurel – of Davison, MI age 81, passed away on March 22, 2025. Cremation has taken place and a private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Adopt-a-Pet, 13575 N. Fenton Rd., Fenton, MI 48430.
Laurel was born in Davison, MI on December 5, 1943, daughter of the late J. C. and Awanda Ferguson. She grew up and graduated from Davison High School. Laurel then attended and completed her cosmetology degree, owning her own business for a period of time. She then worked for Honeywell in Florida before moving back to Michigan where she worked and retired from GM. Laurel had a beautiful voice, singing with the Ferguson Sisters Choir and Sweet Adelines. Laurel liked to sew, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Laurel is survived by her children, Brian (Michele) Carpenter, Cyndi (Mike) Andrews, and Chris (Stephanie) Carpenter; grandchildren, Taryn, Kaylea, Mikey, Riley, Paige, Griffin, Dawson, Chloe and Delanie; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy (Rick) Adams; a special niece, Sally Grablick; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by sisters, Nancy (Jim) Hickmott and Susan Sherwin.
