WEATHERWAX, James R. - Of Fenton, age 71, died Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Private burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 11am-6pm Saturday and 11am Sunday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
James was born in Flint on July 15, 1943, the son of the late Ray and Muriel Weatherwax. Jim graduated from Flint Northern High School. He retired from Rod Sutton Insurance Agency after many years of service. Jim was also a fireman with the City of Flint for several years.
Surviving are wife of 37 years, Beverly Jane;
children, Scott and wife Kris Stebbins of Jacksonville, FL, Kurt and wife Anne Stebbins of Highland and Brian and wife Dianna Weatherwax of Mt. Pleasant;
9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren;
brother, Joe Wilson and sister, Karen and husband Dick Althaus;
and several nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and son, Robert Weatherwax.
