QUINTANILLA, Ermelinda “Linda” of Flushing, age 91, died Thursday, May 30, 2019 at McLaren-Flint Hospital. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 3, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-8 p.m. Sunday, June 2 at Rossell Funeral Home with a 6 p.m. Rosary, and 10 a.m. Monday at the church until the time of the service.
Linda was born on October 28, 1927 in Edinburg, Texas to Lucio and Felipa (Zavala) Gaitan. She married Pedro Quintanilla on December 20, 1957 in Corunna, Michigan. Linda was a long-time member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Flint and a Cursillista. She was a member of the Legion of Mary and the Ladies Altar Society. She made amazing tamales which will also be missed.
Linda is survived by her children, Yolanda (James) Ehlers, Maria (James) Rueda, Pilar (Al Charron) Goodman, Virginia (Leon) Rodriguez, Eladio (Diane) Quintanilla, Liz (Michael Ellis) McMullen, and Pedro Quintanilla, Jr; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and four brothers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro; son, Raymond; grandsons, Andres and Manuel; great-granddaughter, Jayla; four sisters, and one brother. |
