KINSLOW, Calvin Leonard - 76, of Durand, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2019. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, temporary location at Hill Creek Church, 5363 Hill Road, Swartz Creek (Mundy Township) with Pastor Louis Canaday officiating. Visitation will be 5-9 PM Friday, April 26 and 12-1 PM on Saturday. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held 7:00 PM Friday. Internment will be at Rocks Springs Cemetery in Hector, Arkansas at a later date. Contributions in his memory may be made to ALS of Michigan or Angela Hospice of Livonia. Calvin was born September 30, 1942 in Hector, Arkansas the son of Grady and Artie (Epperson) Kinslow. He married Nellie Ann Duncan on February 21, 1964 in Hector, AR. He retired from General Motors Truck Assembly following 35 1/2 years of service. He was a member of U.A.W. Local 598 and served as a Benefits Representative. He was a member of Durand Masonic Lodge F & AM #161, Durand Commandery #21, Durand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons #139, Durand Council Royal and Select Masters #38, KYCH Michigan Priory #22, Pythagoras Council #66, Angola Youmans of York, and was awarded the Order of Purple Cross from the York Rite Sovereign College. He is survived by his wife, Nellie; daughter, Tina (Stuart) Klocko of Wixom; three grandsons, Alexander (Karinna) Klocko, Kyle Klocko, and Jacob Klocko all of Wixom; four siblings, Wanda "Carlene" McDowell of Swartz Creek, Donald (Sandra) Kinslow of Hector, AR, Brenda Hern of Little Rock, AR, and LinDean (Bob) McCool of Danville, AR; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Mary Elizabeth Kinslow. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
