James Earl Crow passed away on February 21, 2025, at Covenant Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan. He was born on May 6, 1950, in Waco, Texas, to Blanche and Russ Keene.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at the Swartz Funeral Home 1225 West Hill Road, Dr. Max B. Hayden officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2025 at the funeral home.
On April 29, 1983, James married his beloved wife, Linda. They shared many years together before her passing. He retired from General Motors and was a dedicated member of Alcoholics Anonymous, celebrating 40 years of sobriety this month. He found great fulfillment in attending AA meetings and retreats, where he built lasting friendships and supported many others on their journeys.
James was a devoted family man who cherished time spent with his loved ones. He had a deep love for dogs, especially his loyal companion Hooch, with whom he shared an inseparable bond.
He is survived by his sons, James (Marva) Crow and David (Jenae) Crow; grandchildren Krystal (Vodus), Emilee (Logan), Samantha, James (Sophie), Hunter, Joshua, Lloyd (Jessica), and Joseph; as well as six great-grandchildren. He had many special friends. James was preceded in death by his mother and his wife.
James will be remembered for his resilience and the love he shared with those around him. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
