Leland Z. McSwain, age 93, formerly of Holly, died Sun. April 28, 2019. He was born in Big Sandy, TN on Sept. 20, 1925 to Marvin and Bertha (Walls) McSwain. He was retired from General Motors and was a member of the Church of Prophesy of Royal Oak. He enjoyed working in the yard and taking naps. Surviving are 2 children, Sandra McSwain of Grand Blanc and Kerry McSwain of Burton; 2 grandchildren, Melissa (Anthony) Trimmer of Davison and Dennis Million II of Flint; 3 great-grandchildren, Haley (Nick) Thomas, Michael Dotson II, and Tristan Trimmer; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Bella Dotson and Addi Dotson; 2 sisters, Geneva (James) Collier and Juanita Dixon; and brother Martin (Marilyn) McSwain. He was preceded in death by his wife Irma June McSwain and brothers Bobby Jo McSwain and Leroy McSwain. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery in Lake Orion. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Sat. June 1, 2019 at The Church of God of Prophecy-Royal Oak with Pastor Brian Fath officiating, and a luncheon will follow at the church.
