LYNCH, EMMA MAE (Mom) age 88, of Flint-Burton, passed away
Saturday, November 6, 2011 at the Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at the
Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI. Interment at
Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00
to 8:00 P.M. Emma was born November 10, 1922, in Brocket, AR. to
parents Grover Cleveland and Ida Mae ( Milam) Terry, the youngest of five
children. We now celebrate Mom’s long productive life. She would say it
was a little rough, but a great ride. She married William F. Lynch,
September 15, 1942 in Walnut Ridge, AR. They soon moved to the Flint
area where they successfully raised two children, Dennis and Barbara
(Horne). Mom worked at A.C. Spark Plug for over 20 years, retiring in
1975, while her husband Bill worked for Kersley Community Schools for
over 30 years. Mom leaves behind children Dennis (Lauri) Lynch, Barbara
(Wayne) Horne; nine grandchildren Bill, Susan Ownby, Laura McKinney,
Jacob and Alex Lynch, Michael, Christopher (Carolyn) Horne and Timothy
(Jessica) Horne and Carissa Pintar; 14 grandchildren; daughter-in-law
Laurie Lynch and son-in-law Wayne Horne as well as many nieces and
nephews and her beloved little dog Sassy. Mom was preceded in death by
her loving husband Bill; her still-born daughter; parents; and 4 siblings
Alma, Zaniel, Claude and Lillian. There is now an empty space in our hearts
which cannot be filled, but we do take comfort in knowing she has been
reunited with her other loved ones that have passed before her. We wish to
extend a special thank you to Doctors, Nurses and Support Staff of the
Genesys Regional Medical Center who cared for Mom in her and our time
of need.
