COLEMAN, Charles E. - Age 82, of Linden, died Tuesday, October 2, 2018. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, October 5, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Burial in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Charles E. Coleman Memorial Fund, c/o Sharp Funeral Homes.
Charles was born July 1, 1936 in Marked Tree, AR, the son of Linville Thomas and Lillie Bell (Chism) Coleman. He was a 1954 graduate of Marked Tree High School. He married Marjorie Bowman April 5, 1961 in Marked Tree, AR and she preceded him in death October 5, 2013. He retired from GM Truck and Bus after 30 plus years of service. Charles was a Christian, Baptized at Marked Tree Southern Baptist Church as a child. Daddy was a wonderful loving family man, the best husband, father, grandpa that ever lived. He will be missed and loved everyday.
Surviving are: sons, Mike (Brenda) Coleman, Charles Coleman, Richard Coleman, and Marvin Coleman; daughter, Marjorie (Schuyler) Van Duyne; grandchildren, Marjorie (Nate), Lynnette (David), Matthew, Leah, Christina, Cameron, Bailey, Adam, Brett, Brooklyn, Calvin, Logan, and Kelsie; great grandchildren, Logan, Coleman, Keegan, Annalize, Kamren Grace, and Scarlette; brother, James Coleman; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
