GRANT, Raymond J. – Of Lennon, age 82, died Monday, April 8, 2019 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2019 at Lennon Wesleyan Church 11280 East Lennon Road, Lennon, Pastor Dana Beland officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.

Visitation 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill road, Flint.
Mr. Grant will be at the church from 11 a.m. Monday until the time of the service.
Raymond was born in Flint, Michigan on July 10, 1936, the son of Raymond Jesse and Winifred (Talbot) Grant.
As a young man he became a Christian and never wavered from his faith.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army and Army National Guard.
On May 16, 1964 he married the love of his life, Ruth Ann Hammonds.
Mr. Grant worked for the City of Flint Fire Department for 23 years, retiring as Battalion Chief.
Surviving are wife, Ruth Ann Grant;
children, Brian (Debbie) Grant and Jennifer (William) Reubart;
granddaughters, Felicia (Jay) Hubbard and Gabrielle Grant;
5 great-grandchildren;
brother, Richard (Ronnie) Grant and
sister, Beverly (Ken) Pennacchini.
