Jean Charlotte Kneeshaw, 101, of Davison, died Wednesday May 22, 2024. She was born January 23, 1923 in Bozana, Alberta, Canada to parents Charles and Ethel (McRoberts) Gibson. Jean married Donald “Red” Kneeshaw in Flint, in 1950.
Mrs. Kneeshaw worked for Chevrolet during World War II. Her main career was really with the City of Davison primarily as City Clerk in charge of elections, retiring in 1985 at the age of 62. Jean loved sewing, quilting as well as the social aspects that naturally happen in those circles. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Jean is survived by her daughters: Bonnie (Mark) Yost of Erie, PA, Kathleen (Mark) McKillen of Lapeer and grandson: Michael Yost. She was preceded in death by her son: John (in 2016), husband: Red (in 1996) as well as her aforementioned parents.
Following her own wishes, cremation has been entrusted with Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. No formal services at this time. A memorial graveside ceremony, at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, Mt. Morris, will be scheduled later this year.
