HOOKER, Lois G. (Bushey) - Of Swartz Creek, age 62, died Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
A Memorial Service will be held 6pm Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Steve Wood officiating.
Visitation 11am-2pm and 4-6pm Friday at the funeral home.
Lois was born in Flint on April 6, 1950. She was the first born child of Donald Bushey and Emogene Bowser She married Scott Hooker on April 4, 2000. Lois was a Special Education Teacher for over 42 years and most recently with the Lapeer Intermediate School District. She was very involved with the National Ski Patrol. Lois loved spending time at the family cottage on Lake Huron and winters in Florida.
Surviving are loving husband, Scott;
children, Lauren Brzozowski and fiancé Tom Davidson of Jackson, Wyoming, Michael Brzozowski and fiancé Chrissy Consolo of Salt Lake City, Utah; Patrick Brzozowski and fiancé Cecily Radabaugh of West Bloomfield, MI;
sisters, Lark and husband Adam Urquhart of Huntington Woods and Pamela Bushey of Clawson;
brother, Jerry Bushey of Pleasant Ridge;
step-mother, Liz Dolinar of Rochester Hills;
and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Autism Speaks, Alpha Net or the American Cancer Society.
