McDONALD, MARY "KATHLEEN" age 87, died April 18, 2020 at McLaren Regional Hospital, Flint. Private Funeral Services will take place, at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI. Mary Kathleen was born May 13, 1932 in Warrior, Alabama to parents Otto and Alma (Bowers) Todd. After moving to Arkansas to live with relatives she met and married Ray E. McDonald in 1950, like many others they migrated to Michigan for better opportunities. Mary Kathleen began working at S S. Kresge and later K-Mart and eventually retired from the Kmart Corporation. She never met a stranger, was a very hard working woman and one never had to wonder what was on her mind. Mary Kathleen is survived by son, David (Linda), daughter in-law, Sue, and the light of her life grandsons Ross, Bryan(Courtney), and Aaron McDonald. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray in 1997. Special thanks to the staff at Maplewoods Manor who had cared for her during the last 2 years, and also to the staff on the fourth floor Covid unit at McLaren Hospital.
