ROSE, Ruth A. – of Clio, age 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 13, 2020 at Maple Woods Manor in Clio. Due to the recent events of the Coronavirus, and travel restrictions for family members, we will be honoring the families wishes with a service at 11AM Tuesday, March 17, 2020 in the mausoleum at Flint Memorial Park. Pastor David Miller officiating. A Celebration of Ruth’s Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Carriage Town Women’s Ministry.
Ruth was born September 30, 1931 in Flint, Michigan to the late William and Laura (Myers) Rose. She was the seventh of eight siblings. Ruth enjoyed taking care of children and operated a daycare out of her home for many years. She loved attending church and was a member of Bible Baptist Church since 1961. She also loved walking, cooking, and spending time with her beloved family.
Surviving are: Daughter, Donna (Ralph) Weidenhammer; 4 grandchildren: Jeff Weidenhammer of Davison, Brad (Megan) Weidenhammer of Chicago, IL, Katherine (Jeff) Coulter of Puyallup, WA, and Elizabeth (Chuck) Marshall of Plymouth; 16 great grandchildren: Alex, Jacob, Everly, Harper, Charlotte, Nora, Dash, Madelyn, Avery, Charlotte, Lucy, Peyton, Charlie, Kayla, Emily, and Alaska; Sister in law, Bertha Rose of Arizona; Dear friends, Pastor David Miller and his wife, Linda. Ruth was also preceded in death by her 5 brothers, and 2 sisters. The family would like to extend a special heartfelt thank you to the staff at Maple Woods Manor in Clio for all their love and care.
