Louise Marie Maybee
Louise Maybee, of Grand Blanc, age 75, went to be with the Lord, on Monday, September 23, 2024, at McLaren-Flint. Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held to celebrate her life on September 28, 2024, 11 a.m. The memorial service will be held at Grand Blanc United Methodist Church, 515 Bush Ave, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48439. Contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Louise was a loving wife and mother who had a strong sense of family and spiritual life, including daily conversations with God. She was a fashionista with a great appreciation for style, with a passion for decorating and making all things beautiful. She enjoyed shopping and collectibles, adored the TV series “Columbo”, and was enthusiastic about rock music, particularly from the 60s and 70s. Louise cherished spending time with loved ones and was protective of her family. She had an inner strength and a strong sense of loyalty, which all who knew her recognized and appreciated.
Louise was born in Flint, Michigan on May 13, 1949, the daughter of Franklin and the late Edna (Crane) Maxwell. On July 25, 1986, she married Douglas Maybee in Grand Blanc. She is survived by her husband, Douglas Maybee; daughter, Amber Willett; son, Ian Willett; stepdaughters, Shain Hamric and Tasha Fitzgerald; grand-daughter, Laura Benmoha, and several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; father, Franklin Maxwell; sisters, Linda McCraith and Kathryn (Tom) Calvert; and also many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Maxwell.
Louise loved unconditionally, as she was loved unconditionally by her husband Doug. She is already greatly missed.
