Mary Lou Scott, age 85, of Houghton Lake, formerly of Clio, died July 9, 2017. Visitation will be at Walsh Funeral Home in Roscommon on Tuesday 5-8 PM and at Immanuel Baptist Church also in Roscommon on Wednesday from 10 AM until services at 11 AM officiated by Dr. David E. Hansen. Graveside services will be held 11 AM Thursday at Thetford Township Cemetery. She was born in Flint on February 16, 1932 to Eber Henry and Mary Beth (Stalker) Willson and married Duane Scott in Flint on February 14, 1951. She lived in Clio where she was a member of Mayfair Bible Church and moved to Houghton Lake in 1982. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, sewing, and vegetable and flower gardening. She also enjoyed working on all types of puzzles including crossword, jigsaw and word searches. Surviving are her husband, Duane; four children, Tom (Carol) Scott of Lakeland, FL, Kerry (Dale) Weaver of Ashkum, IL, Ann (Dan) Cunningham of Lowell, MI and Don (Anne) Scott of Clarkston, MI; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and a sister, Dora (John) McQuistion of Indianapolis, IN.
