MORGAN, ALFRED JOHN- Passed over to the arms of Jesus On January 29, 2017.
Memorial Service at Central Church of the Nazarene located at 1261 West Bristol Road, Flint MI, Pastor Stephen Anthony officiating. Visitation at 12 noon and memorial services at 5pm with a dinner following the service on Saturday, February 4, 2017.
Al was 83 years old and was married to his high school sweetheart Elizabeth Alger for 61 years, father of 3 children and had 9 grandchildren. He was the youngest son of William and Lillian Morgan, born at home on October 14, 1933 and raised in Flint, MI.
He was a graduate of Flushing HS and General Motors Institute. He proudly served in the US Army and GM Chevy Truck and Bus for 43 years as a tool-maker where he wrapped up his career in the Research Center.
Al was a faithful follower of Christ and his love for the Lord showed in the way he lived his daily life and his love for Jesus spilled over to his family, neighbors and many that he worshiped with. He was a gentle, happy man who was “Mr. Fix It”, a self-taught helper to many.
Al was preceded in death by his parents and 3 older brothers; William, Stanley and Thomas Morgan. Al is survived by his wife Elizabeth, his Daughters Deborah Denman of Somerville, Australia; Laura Schuster and husband Donnie of Flushing, MI; his son John Morgan and wife Shannon of Saline, MI; his grandchildren Michael Denman, Thomas Denman, Bradley Frost, Jacob Schuster, Olivia Schuster, Paige Elinski, Kyle Elinski, Alexis Morgan and Alivia Morgan; and his sister Connie North and her husband Clint.
