LUND, Erick Elmer – lifelong resident of Davison, age 93, passed away August 4, 2019. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 706 W. Flint St., Davison; Pastor Todd Frusti officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Wednesday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison and 10 AM until time of service on Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Parkinson’s Foundation.
Erick was born in Hancock, MI on October 2, 1925, son of the late Erick K. and Ellen (Carlson) Lund. He married Shirley Forystek on June 7, 1947. Erick was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, his faith was very important to him. He enjoyed golf and loved bow hunting. Erick retired from GM after 35 years of service. He made friends with everyone he met and was loved by all.
Erick is survived by his children, Steven (Sherry) Lund and Janet Reed (finacé, Daniel Bonifay); grandchild, Heather Lund; two great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren; special friend, Gianeen Davis. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley.
