TAYLOR, Alvin "Dale" - Of Mundy Township, age 80, died on Monday, March 11, 2019 at home, peacefully in his sleep.
Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Brett Cummins officiating.
Cremation has taken place.
Those desiring may make contributions to the The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
Visitation 11 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Alvin was born in Gideon, Missouri on December 7, 1938, the son of the late Herschel and Monville (McNew) Taylor.
On March 24, 1958 he married Rita Hamilton in Hernando, Mississippi and they have been married 61 years.
Dale was employed by GM for 42 years at Chevrolet Metal Fab and was a proud member of UAW Local #659.
Surviving are wife, Rita;
children, Sherry Cummins (Brad Arnold),
Lisa (Chet) Marlin and
Jeff (Vickie) Taylor;
7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren;
sister, Debbie (Vernon) Scott;
4 step-sisters;
many nieces, nephews, cousins and many good friends.
He was preceded in death by 5 siblings.
