BONE, Evelyn M. – of Clio, age 90, died Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Tendercare of Frankenmuth. Funeral services will be 1PM Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Chaplain Goodman Cox officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 17 from 1-9PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association or the Johnny Burks Children’s Foundation.
Evelyn was born April 2, 1922 in Flint to the late Edwin and Della (Glen) Lied. She married Kenneth Bone on November 13, 1943. He preceded her in death on May 24, 1985. Mrs. Bone was employed at Clio Schools for 23 years retiring in 1976. She moved to Florida for 30 years then returned to Clio. She was a member of the VFW Post #1452 Ladies Auxiliary and the MARSP. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting afghans, and playing bingo. She loved her cat Shelly and shopping at Goodwill.
Surviving are: children, Barbara (Terry) Pardon of Birch Run, Susan (Robert) Weir of Clio, Mary Jane Eggers (fiancé Don Sexton) of Otisville, Karen Pritchard of Clio; Son-in-law Walter Heine of Clio; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson; Sister, Helen Harris of Cedarville; brother, Robert (Margaret) Lied of Gladwin; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Marcia, two great grandchildren and her son-in-law John Pritchard.
