VOORHESS, Hatsue – Age 79, died Friday, February 7, 2014 at McLaren – Lapeer. Mrs. Voorhess was born August 24, 1934 in Okinawa, Japan. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the casino. Surviving are her children, Janet (John) Roesner, June (Mike) Peel, Jim (Sherri) Voorhess; grandchildren, Talia Lampley, Michael Roesner, Christopher Voorhess, Hailey Voorhess, Danielle Goodwin, Rachel Peel. Mrs. Voorhess was preceded in death by her husband Robert and her son John. Friends may visit the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 E. Bristol Rd., Burton, MI. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
