LINDER, David – Of Durand, age 70, died on Friday, March 2, 2012 at his residence. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2012 at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation 1-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
David was born in Ducktown, Tennessee on September 21, 1941, the son of the late Verbal and Lucille (Henley) Linder. On July 8, 1993 he married Joan Cook in Corunna. He was a member of Byron United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Elks and his handle on the CB radio was "Radar". Mr. Linder was employed as an electrician at GM Metal Fab. Surviving are wife, Joan; son, David R.A. Linder of Millington; daughter, Vickie Lucille Ritchie (Mike) of Lapeer;
step-daughter, Joni (David) Maier of Gaines; step-son, Jerry (Dana) Fagerstrom of Gaines; grandchildren, Jacob W. Linder, Seth P. Ujlaky, Megan T. Surbrook; sister, Nancy Moore of Flint; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by son, Jacob John Linder and step-son, James L. Fagerstrom.
