HORN, Rosamond Carolyn - Age 95, of Fenton, died Saturday, May 3, 2014. Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, May 9, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St, Linden. Rev. Margo Kivisto officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 5-8 PM and Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Linden United Methodist Church or the Loose Senior Center.
Rosamond was born December 14, 1918 in Linden the daughter of Fred and Edith (Crane) Mancour. She was a 1936 graduate of Fenton High School. She married John A. Horn April 5, 1941 in Linden. She retired in 1967 from Linden Community Schools as a Cook. Rosamond had resided in Fenton since 1987 and had also resided in Higgins Lake and Linden. She was a member of Linden United Methodist Church. She also was a lecturer for Weight Watchers, past president of the Linden PTA, and a 4H Leader.
Surviving are: 4 children, Mary and husband James Keho of Merritt Island, FL, Rose Ann and husband Paul Meyer of Zuni, NM, William and wife Isabelle Horn of Saline and Paris, France, and Laurette and husband William Frampton of Higgins Lake; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Vern, Kenneth, and Gordon Mancour; and 2 sisters, Violet Porritt and Gladys Mann.
