Daniel (Munch) Patrick Smith, age 67, of Corunna, passed away at his home on Thursday August 13, 2015. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 17, 2015 at 3pm at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel with Pastor John Walworth officiating. Visitation will be from 2pm until the time of the service. A Military committal service will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan, on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 10am.
Daniel was born on December 2, 1947 in Flint, Michigan to the late Harry and Patricia (Kennedy) Smith. Daniel was a graduate of Flint Beecher High School. On August 16, 1967 he entered the United States Army and served his country faithfully, being honorably discharged on July 11, 1969. Daniel spent most of his life as a salesman in the used car and furniture business.
Daniel is survived by four sisters; Janis Young of Corunna, Sandra (Al) Jackson of Florida, Carol (Tom) McHale of Harbor Springs and CloeAnn Johnson of Swartz Creek. One brother; Terry Smith of Florida and many special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by both of his parents, and his brother Michael Roach.
