ARMOR, John L. – Of Flint, age 73, died Monday, June 9, 2014 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 13, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Scott Snyder officiating.
Visitation 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and 1-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery with military graveside service under the auspices of VFW Post #822 Honor Guard.
Those desiring may make contributions to South Baptist Church.
John was born in Flint, Michigan on July 12, 1940, the son of the late Patrick and Ella (Fisher) Armor and was a resident of Flint all of his life, and for the last 20 years wintered in Florida.
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy.
On May 25, 1985 he married Shirley Dungerow.
He was a member of South Baptist Church.
John was an avid golfer and loved the Detroit Tigers.
Mr. Armor was employed for over 31 years at GM Metal Fab.
Surviving are wife, Shirley.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Carol, in 1984.

Debra and husband Keith Hancock,
Robert Armor,
Jacki and husband Tadd Holleman,
Tricia and husband Joe Baumbach;
grandchildren, Joshua and wife Brittany, Carolann and husband Tyler,
Alicia and fiancé Scott, Robert, Nicole, Jessica, Joey, Carly, Sophie, Caleb and Samantha;
first great-grandchild is due November 27, 2014;
his beloved cat, Lilykay;
brother, James and wife Paula;
sister, Joyce and husband Dave Senters;
many special family and friends.
