WARLAND, Alma Clara -- Age 96, of Flint Township, died March 7, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services will be 12 noon Saturday, March 12 at the West Flint Church of the Nazarene, G-2254 Dye Rd., Flint, Pastor David Bowser officiating. Interment in Bendle Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Alma was born May 28, 1914 in Hastings, MI, the daughter of William E. and Norah A. (Travis) Pratt. She married Kenneth Warland on November 26, 1953 in Flint. She had resided in Flint since 1953 coming from the Grand Rapids area. She was a member of the West Flint Church of the Nazarene. Surviving are: husband Kenneth; daughter Karen and husband Michael Flesher of Swartz Creek; daughter-in-law Sharon Fouts of Flint; grandchildren, Bethany Steller, Jennifer Flesher, both of Swartz Creek, Christopher Warland of Chicago; great-grandson Drake Steller; sister Esther Bonnar of Mississippi; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son Roy; and sisters Ella, Ada, Lois, and Pearl. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
