STEFFEY, Ronald Lloyd -- Age 73, of Linden, died Friday, November 7, 2014 with his wife and children by his side.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, November 10 at The Rock Church, 11400 Linden Rd., Fenton (corner of Linden and Bennett Lake Roads) Pastor Wes Morris officiating. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Linden.
Visitation will be 1-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, and 10-11 AM Monday at the Rock Church.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to The Rock Church or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
Ronald was born October 6, 1941 in Flint, the son of Lloyd and Jacqueline (Reed) Steffey. He was a 1959 graduate of Fenton High School where he had played football. He had worked as a Fenton Policeman for several years. He married Sandra J. Stevens on March 7, 1975 in Fenton. He owned and operated, with the help of his family, Mid-Michigan Concrete Products the past 30 years.
Ron was a devout Christian and a member of The Rock Church. He was loved and respected by everyone he met and knew.
Ron was a “gentle giant” and was the pillar of his family. Each and every one of his grandchildren were so special to him.
Surviving are: his wife of 39 years, Sandy; their eight children, Terry (Julie) Steffey of Fenton, Tim (Stacy) Steffey of Fenton, Tami (Mike) Csapo of Fenton, Matt (Donna) Steffey of Swartz Creek, Daren (Dena) Scully of Fenton, Hugh (Liz) Scully of San Diego, CA, Michael (Jennifer) Scully of Linden, Sean (Michelle) Scully of Temecula, CA; grandchildren, Hannah, Lauren (David), Payton (Kyle), Maison, Seth, Brett, Josh, Eric, Kayla, Reagan, Jack, Collette (Wayne), Whitney (Justin), Ryan, Christopher, Kier, Ian, Samuel, Paige, Brandon; great-grandchildren, Zane, Xander, Emerson, and one due in January, Juliette; brother, Bill (Sue) Steffey of Lupton; sister, Mary Sharp of Linden; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Daniel Steffey.
