McINTYRE, Richard J. – Of Grand Blanc, died Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Brookdale Memory Care.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Central Church of the Nazarene, G-1261 West Bristol Road, Flint, Dr. Stephen Anthony officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery with Military Honors.
Those desiring may make contributions to Central Church of the Nazarene.
Visitation 3-8 p.m. Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Mr. McIntyre will be at the church from 12 noon Saturday until the time of the service.
Richard was born in Flint, Michigan on February 9, 1934, the son of Ervin and Mildred McIntyre.
On August 23, 1969 he married Betty Jennings in Flint.
He served in the U.S. Marines.
He was a member of the Central Church of the Nazarene.
He loved going to U of M games and was a huge fan!
Mr. McIntyre was past owner of McIntyre State Farm Insurance for 42 years.
Surviving are wife, Betty;
four children, Mel McIntyre,
Michael and wife Stacye McIntyre, all of Dallas Texas,
Matthew and wife Kim McIntyre of Plano, Texas and
Mary Lynne McIntyre of Coppell, Texas;
grandchildren, Grant, Trent, Amanda, Grace, Jessica, Brittany, Brianna, Brecca, Kenna and Kelsi;
sisters, Karen and husband Jim Hall of Columbiaville,
Nickie and husband Billy Knowles of Florida;
brothers, Ron and wife Sherry McIntyre of Swartz Creek, Don and wife Dona McIntyre of Arizona;
many nieces and nephews.
