BROCK, Jeanette Mary, age 82, of Grand Blanc, suddenly passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at home. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Monday, January 13, 2014 at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc. Interment will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 1-4PM and 6-9PM at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
Jeanette was born March 15, 1931 in Highland Park and later met and married the love of her life, Robert Brock on July 15, 1950 in Clare, MI. Jeanette was employed by General Motors in the Accounting Division for over 20 years. She was an active weekly member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the 55 & Over Club. She also enjoyed taking day trips with the Grand Blanc Senior Citizens to restaurants, theatres and casinos. More than anything, Jeanette loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed dearly and remembered forever.
Surviving are her 2 children, Ken (Kay) Brock, Karen (Chuck) Gates; 4 grandchildren, Tricia (James) Stuck, Kristy (Rob) Leatherman, Matt (Barb) Gates, Mike (Lindsay) Gates; 5 great-grandchildren, Katelyn Stuck, Ally Stuck, Olivia Leatherman, Lucas Leatherman, Brock Gates; sister, Judith A. Marshall (Dan). She was also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Robert D. Brock in 2007; mother, Lucille Thatcher; granddaughter, Amy Michele Gates.
