GEORGE, Louise Jean - age 87, of Swartz Creek, died Monday, September 4, 2017 at McLaren - Flint. A memorial mass will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday, September 16, 2017 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Rd., Swartz Creek with Fr. Louis Ekka celebrant. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the time of service. She was born May 17, 1930 in Highland Park, MI and moved to Dearborn, MI at the young age of 5 months and lived there until 1991 when she moved to Swartz Creek. Louise retired from the State of Michigan after 33 years. She as a volunteer at Greenfield Village, a member of St. Clements Parish and Choir in Dearborn. She was also a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Parish, Swartz Creek and the Corresponding Secretary for Catholic Women's Ministry. She also volunteered for the Humane Society of Genesee County. Louise loved animals and enjoyed working in her garden. She was the youngest of five children and was preceded in death by: sister, Carmen; two brothers, Joe and Herbert; father John; mother, Tessie; and sisters-in-law, Florence and Lena. Surviving are: brother, Wallace George; 10 nieces and nephews; 12 great nieces and great nephews; uncle in Malta and many cousins in Australia, Canada, England, Greece, Italy, Malta and the U.S.A.
