HILL, Shirley A. – of Davison, age 82, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 22, 2013. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, June 27, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Davison, 208 E. Fourth St., Davison; Pastor Chris Radcliffe officiating. Burial will follow in Davison Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-4 & 6-8 PM Wednesday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Davison.
Shirley was born in Davison, MI on June 22, 1931, daughter of the late Jay and Gladys (Prestage) Davis. She married Paul A. Hill on September 2, 1951 and he preceded her in death on November 1, 2000. Shirley was a member of First Baptist Church of Davison for more than 65 years, where she was the church secretary. She served on many different committees including Trustee Board, Sunday School Teacher, Missions Circle and visiting shut-ins. Shirley enjoyed working in her yard and with her flowers.
Shirley is survived by her children, Carol (Bob) McNelly of Davison, Connie Hill of Davison, Jay (Kim) Hill of Flint, Jerry (Julie) Hill of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Jennifer (Aaron) Hiltz, Kyle (Grace) McNelly, Joshua Hill, Michael Hill, Kristopher Hill, John Barancik, Jennifer Crawford; great-grandchildren, Michalyn, Andrew, A.J., Hannah and Alana.
