GARDNER, DUANE F. – Of Flushing, age 89, died Sunday, July 14, 2024 at his residence.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2024 at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, 4133 Calkins Road, Flint, Father Pierre Bassil officiating.
Entombment at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Duane will be at the church from 10 a.m. Friday until the time of Mass.
Duane was born in Flint, Michigan on December 10, 1934, the son of the late Martin Gardner and Frances Flood.
On September 1, 1956 he married Delores Taylor.
Mr. Gardner was Vice President in the Trust Department at Genesee Bank, retiring in 1999.
Surviving are wife, Delores;
2 children, Ellen Sue Watson and Bob Gardner;
4 grandchildren, Nathan D. Watson, Noah D. Watson, Jacob A. Watson and Josiah A.F. Watson.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Woodhall.
