CARTWRIGHT, Adah B. – of Davison, age 87, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2012 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor. A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2012 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Steve Johns officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday and Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bentley Wesleyan Church.
Adah was born in Hadley, MI on October 30, 1924, daughter of the late John and Cara (Lamas) Flynn. She married Walter T. Cartwright on November 24, 1943 and he preceded her in death on February 6, 1992. Adah was a member of Bentley Wesleyan Church, Davison Senior Center, Eastside Senior Citizens and the Davison Richfield Center. She was employed at Turnstedt for 30 years retiring in 1981.
Adah is survived by her son, Thomas (Linda) Cartwright of Ft. Wayne, IN, daughter, Linda (Edward) Gillis of Ann Arbor, MI; grandson, Brook Cartwright of Ft. Wayne, IN; granddaughter, Heather (Jim) Bustos of Ft. Wayne, IN, great-grandson, Joseph Rubalcada of Ft. Wayne, IN; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Hall, Captola Dunn, Vada Orr, Bessie Flynn; brothers, Keith, John, Harold, Jay and George Flynn.
