Conlee, Richard B. "Dick" – of Clio, age 72, died Sunday, February 15, 2015 at McLaren – Flint. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in memory of Dick at 10:30 AM, Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Saints Charles & Helena Catholic Church in Clio. Rev. Fr. Bob McGraw officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family will receive visitors at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Tuesday from 5-8 PM, Wednesday from 1-7 PM and at the church on Thursday from 9:30 AM until time of mass. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clio Area Educational Foundation, Clio Athletic Boosters or Saints Charles & Helena Catholic Church. Dick was born September 17, 1942 in Flint, Michigan to the late Clifton and Murvel (Swanson) Conlee. He graduated from Clio High School in 1960 and Western Michigan University in 1965. Dick married Cheryl VanWormer on October 8, 1966. He was also a member and First Sergeant of the U.S. Army Reserves. Dick was CEO of Conlee Oil Co. for over 40 years. He was a member of Saints Charles & Helena Catholic Church. Dick was also a member of the Michigan Petroleum Association and the National Distribution Council for Mobil Oil. He was a longtime sponsor and board member of the Clio Athletic Boosters. He was involved in numerous civic and community groups throughout Genesee and Saginaw counties. Dick was honored by the Clio Area Educational Foundation as "Alumnus of the Year" in 1996 for his service as a businessman, outdoorsman and sponsor of area youth athletics. He was also awarded the Genesee County Bruin Club's Community Service Award for his contributions to area athletics and academics. In addition, Dick was selected as the first recipient of the Greater Flint Area Baseball "Person of the Year" Award. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed attending family sporting events. Surviving are: Wife, Cheryl; Son, Jeff (Amy) Conlee of Clio; Grandchildren: Hallie and Evan; Brother, Robert Conlee of Clio.
