HICKS, Gerald Kenneth – of Clio, age 72, died Friday, May 25, 2012 in Toledo. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at the West Vienna United Methodist Church, 5485 West Wilson Rd., Clio. Pastor Billie Lou Gillespie officiating. Burial will be in West Vienna Cemetery. Friends may call at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Tuesday from 1- 4 and 6 - 9PM and at the church on Wednesday from 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM. Contributions may be made to the West Vienna United Methodist Church.
Gerald was born October 23, 1939 in Genesee County to the late Kenneth and Dorotha (Herrick) Hicks. He lived in Clio since 1999 coming from Oregon. He married Jeannette Doyon on October 12, 1982. Mr. Hicks served in the US Air Force for 4 years in active duty then 20 years in the reserves. He was a supervisor of aircraft mechanics at Travis Air Force Base in CA retiring in 1995. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and cabinet making.
Surviving are: wife, Jeannette; children, Randy (Nena) Hicks of CA, Sherri Hicks of CA, Mashelle (Charles) Kenney of ID, Debra Andreason (companion Daryl) of CA, Cheryl (Dennis) Crisp of NH, Linda Andreason of NH, Brian Andreason of NH, Dean Andreason (companion Feline) of NH; 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; siblings, Donna (Wesley) Aho of Clio, June Clark of Montrose, Sharon Monroe of Clio, Gary (Kathy) Hicks of Clio; many nieces and nephews.
