Ethel "Pat" Arlene Burton of St. Helen, age 85, died Sunday July 21, 2013 at her residences. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday July 25, 2013 at Richfield Church of the Nazarene 7524 E. Mt. Morris Rd. Dr. Stephen Anthony officiating. Private burial at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Ethel will lie in state at the church from 10:00 am Thursday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in her memory to the charity of your choice. Ethel was born in Flint Michigan March 9, 1928 the daughter of the late: Phillip & Chloe (Hacke) Martin. She was joined in marriage to Orville e. Burton on July 11, 1945 in Genesee. She has spent most of her life in Michigan and Florida and the last 19 yrs in St. Helen. Ethel was a member of Morgan St. Nazarene Church, Boyne City, and a former member of Richfield Church of the Nazarene. She had taught school during her years in Florida. She leaves to cherish her memory husband Orville; sons; Ron & Jan Burton, Gary & June Burton, and Dennis & Susan Burton. Fifteen grandchildren and forty-four great grandchildren. Brothers: Edward & Bonnie Martin, Frank & Donna Martin, Richard Martin, and Sister June & Jack Warby. She is preceded in death by great grandson James A.
